This new indicator uses the same data as the AARP COVID-19 Nursing Home Dashboard to calculate the percentage of nursing home residents up to date on their COVID boosters as of February 2023. The percentage of residents up to date on their vaccinations ranged from 34.3 percent in Arizona to 76.8 percent in South Dakota.

Methodology

The percentage of nursing home residents who were up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations as of the week ending February 19, 2023, as reported by the AARP Nursing Home COVID-19 Dashboard released on March 16, 2023.

Up to date means that the individual has either received an updated (bivalent) booster dose, or completed their primary series less than 2 months ago.
